As with any Utility Company working on the highway, there are always difficulties with obtaining tarmac outside normal working hours. Our fleet of Hot-Boxes, which lay 95% of our tarmac, have eliminated this problem by using a low-pressure thermostatically controlled gas system. This prevents hot spots and allows material to be kept for longer periods, which therefore allows us to work outside normal working hours and achieve first time reinstatement at any time of the day or night. We also utilise split Hot-Boxes, which allow us to carry hot and cold materials simultaneously to anywhere in the country at any time of the day.

Where reinstatement is required off of the highway, we retain teams of reinstating specialists.
